On March 9th, 2021, Nemiroff received a license for alcohol production from the State Tax Service of Ukraine. This step completed the legal stage of privatization of Nemyriv alcohol distillery.
Nemiroff is again a pioneer – as the first among private companies in the modern history of Ukraine, which privatized a distillery and received a license to produce alcohol. This is an important step not only for the brand but for the entire industry.
Now the company is actively modernizing the production facilities of the Nemyriv alcohol distillery and is preparing to start the production soon.
The process of the industry de-monopolization began last year. On October 15th, 2020, the auction for the purchase of the distillery was won. On November 12th, 2020, Nemiroff and the State Property Fund of Ukraine signed a purchase agreement. Thus, Nemiroff officially became the first private owner of an alcohol distillery in Ukraine.
The acquisition of the distillery by a private company was a harbinger of fundamental changes in the domestic vodka industry.
For Nemiroff, this is a strategic decision, because now the company will be able to fully control and improve the quality of key raw materials and, accordingly, final products.
Moreover, it is the re-establishment of the historical roots of the brand, and its heritage, because the products in this region have been produced since the XVIII century.
