From English football fields to Australian rugby arenas: Nemiroff expands its sports portfolio

Nemiroff

At the end of last year, Nemiroff boldly entered the world of English football, becoming a partner of four Premier League clubs at once. Now, the brand continues its sporting expansion — this time on the other side of the world.

The Ukrainian premium vodka brand has announced a multi-year partnership with Rugby Australia, becoming the Official and Exclusive Premium Partner of two of Australia’s national rugby teams — the men’s Wallabies and the women’s Wallaroos. The three-year agreement opens up new opportunities to promote the Ukrainian product among millions of rugby fans worldwide.

Why rugby? The Wallabies and Wallaroos are not just sports teams, but part of Australia’s national culture: during major matches, millions of Australians gather around their TVs and in stadiums, while some games, like the Bledisloe Cup, are broadcast in over 100 countries.

The Wallabies are true legends of world rugby. The team has won the Rugby World Cup twice (1991, 1999) and is one of New Zealand’s biggest rivals in the iconic Bledisloe Cup series. In recent years, the Wallabies have been actively updating their roster and tactics: in 2023, they reached a strong level in The Rugby Championship, showcasing an aggressive attacking style and tactical flexibility. For the upcoming seasons, the team plans to strengthen its youth squad and prepare new leaders to compete for the 2027 World Cup title.

The women’s national team, the Wallaroos, first appeared on the international stage in 1994 and has since been a consistent participant in World Cups, as well as the prestigious Pacific Four Series. Between 2022 and 2024, the Wallaroos made notable progress, winning key matches against top-tier teams, including Canada and France, cementing their status as serious contenders on the global stage. The team is actively preparing for the next Women’s Rugby World Cup in 2026, aiming to secure a spot among the world’s top three women’s national teams. Interestingly, over the past decade, the number of women’s rugby teams worldwide has more than doubled, with the Wallaroos playing a key role in promoting the sport among girls and women in Australia.

In Australia, rugby is not just a sport but also a cultural event. For example, the Bledisloe Cup between the Wallabies and the All Blacks is one of the oldest international rugby series, dating back to 1931. Meanwhile, the women’s Pacific Four Series has become a platform for developing women’s rugby across Asia and Oceania, attracting hundreds of thousands of spectators both online and in stadiums.

The partnership includes extensive brand presence across Rugby Australia’s digital platforms, branded stadium zones, social media integrations, and exclusive serving rights during the national teams’ home matches.

Nemiroff is the power of the Ukrainian spirit that transcends distance and unites people through their love of sport. We have already conquered England’s football stadiums, and now we are heading to Australia to share our energy with rugby fans. The partnership with the Wallabies and Wallaroos opens new horizons for our brand and demonstrates to the world that a Ukrainian product can be bold, successful, and inspiring to millions. The Ukrainian flag on every bottle of Nemiroff will serve as a reminder that our country is a land of strength, passion, and resilience. emphasizes Yuriy Sorochynskyi, CEO of Nemiroff.

Rugby Australia also notes that Nemiroff perfectly matches the identity of the national teams thanks to its global status, bold brand character, and passion for results. Symbolically, before matches, the Wallabies perform their famous ritual “war cry,” while the women’s Wallaroos have their own battle ritual — a unifying element that underscores team spirit.

This partnership is a logical continuation of Nemiroff’s international sports strategy. The brand previously joined the world of English football by partnering with Aston Villa, West Ham United, Everton, and Fulham FC. Now, the Ukrainian product enters one of Australia’s most popular sports arenas, uniting fans across the globe.

The expansion of Ukrainian brands into international sports markets boosts recognition of our country worldwide and creates moments of pride. After all, every time a fan in London or Sydney sees the Nemiroff logo, they also see a piece of Ukraine.

Incidentally, the new Premier League and rugby seasons have just begun. It’s time to cheer — for the sport and for the Ukrainian brand on the global stage!
