Vetropack Ukraine is our leading partner in the supply of glass containers. It is located in Gostomel, where, in the spring of 2022, terrible events took place in the whole country. The fighting also affected the territory of the enterprise. The streets around the plant became a place of struggle against the enemy. Then, it was not more accessible because, already in March, the plant was occupied. It was used as a bridgehead from which shelling of the surrounding territories was carried out.
Vetropak Gostomel Glass Factory PJSC lost quite a large part of production due to hostilities. Not only was the enterprise affected, but our brand was also affected because the enterprise had 2,000,000 bottles of Nemiroff products until February 24. After the occupation, only 1% of the total number of glass containers – 22,000 units of bottles – survived. However, material losses are nothing compared to the company’s survival. We are glad that our partner, Vetro th,e Gostomel glass factory, has become a shelter for residents. It was in its basements and bunkers that women, children, and pensioners could hide. The friendship, courage, and determination of the staff helped to survive these terrible times. Later, people from the shelter of the plant were able to evacuate to a safe place.

Currently, the company continues to recover. Vetropak’s foreign economic activity was suspended for a long time. The company spent more than one-year producing containers again for at least one of its three furnaces. Now, the second furnace is being restored. But there is also bad news—the third furnace was destroyed. Despite all this, the plant is trying to continue working. The company’s employees live in and rebuild houses.
